ALDI is rolling out seven refrigerated, ready-to-heat meals in select markets this month. Its September 22 announcement says nationwide availability is expected by January 2027.
What to know before you shop
Five single-serving options are advertised under $8 each.
Two family-size choices, Chicken and Bacon Mac n’ Cheese and Meat Lovers Pizza Bake, are advertised under $15.
ALDI says to look near the front entrance in the refrigerated meals section. Check your local store before building a dinner around them.
The detail for a busy evening
The single-serving meals have listed microwave times of 3½–4½ minutes, plus a one-minute rest. The family-size directions call for 40 minutes in the oven, plus preheating and a two-minute rest. Follow the package’s instructions.
That makes the family tray easier on prep, but you’ll still need to leave room in the evening for it. Think about whether that fits the night you’re trying to cover.
One small plan for next week
Pick your busiest evening and give it a specific easy dinner now. A ready-made meal could work; so could a familiar meal already in your rotation.
Write down what you’ll serve, when it needs to start heating, and anything else you need on the plate. Check the package’s portions, ingredients and price before buying. The useful question is simple: will this dinner work for your household on that night?
