Mealime will be discontinued on October 21, 2026, according to its own closing page (mealime.com/closing). Personal information will be removed when the app closes. Pro subscribers won’t be charged any further fees, and premium features are free for everyone until then. The recipes move to Meals Hub, inside the store apps of Albertsons Companies, which owns Mealime. The page doesn’t mention a way to export your own favorites, plans, or lists.
Before October 21
Screenshot the recipes you actually cook.
Write down any dietary filters you had switched on, so you don’t rebuild them from memory.
If a specific recipe matters, save it now rather than trusting a website to stay up.
Choosing a replacement
Mealime did one thing well: you picked a few quick dinners and it built one aisle-sorted grocery list. Before you switch, ask which part you loved. If it was having someone else pick the recipes, Eat This Much builds plans around your goals, and Plan to Eat and Paprika are strong recipe-box planners.
If the hard part in your house was getting everyone on the same page about dinner, that’s the problem Foodoodle is built for.
What Foodoodle is, and isn’t
A shared weekly plan for the whole household, with a vote on dinners and one aisle-grouped grocery list built from the approved week.
A shared recipe box anyone in the house can add to, in a browser on iPhone, Android, or desktop.
A helper that flags allergy and dietary conflicts and suggests swaps. It isn’t a guarantee, so you still check labels.
Free during beta, no card. Once you’re set up, a weekly plan takes about four minutes.
Not a recipe discovery engine, not an official Mealime replacement, and not an import tool. Bring your screenshots.
If that sounds right, you can try Foodoodle here.
Quick answers
When does Mealime shut down? October 21, 2026.
Can I export my recipes? The closing page doesn’t mention an export tool, so save favorites manually.
Where do the recipes go? To Meals Hub, inside Albertsons Companies’ store apps.
Can Foodoodle handle food allergies? It flags conflicts and suggests swaps, but it’s a planning helper and not a medical tool. Always check labels yourself.
