Mealime closes on October 21, 2026, three weeks from today. Its own closing page (mealime.com/closing) says the app will be discontinued and that personal information will be removed when it shuts down. The recipes aren’t disappearing: they’re moving to Meals Hub, inside Albertsons Companies’ store apps. Your favorites, plans, and lists don’t have an obvious new home, and the page doesn’t mention a way to export them.
What to do this week
Screenshot the three or four recipes you actually cook, the ones the kids eat without a summit meeting.
Look at them side by side. What they have in common is your real favorites list.
Name one weeknight out loud: Tuesday is the sheet-pan thing.
Then give next week a home
A camera roll full of screenshots isn’t a plan. Pick a loose theme, put a few options where everyone can see them, let the household vote, and build one grocery list from what wins.
That’s the loop Foodoodle is built around. It’s free during beta, needs no card, and runs in a browser. It isn’t an official Mealime replacement and can’t import Mealime data. There’s also an unofficial walkthrough video if you’d like company while you save things.
What’s the one recipe you’re saving before October 21? Tell us in the comments.
